A simple system with a hydrogen plasma confined by a magnetic field parallel to the bounding material wall is considered. The charged particles diffuse out of the plasma, recombine on the wall and return into the plasma volume as neutrals, which are ionized by electrons. It is demonstrated that macroscopic self-sustained oscillations are an intrinsic feature of such a system if the diffusion coefficient of charged particles is strongly inhomogeneous in the plasma.  相似文献

The newly synthesized cyclotriphosphazene cored coumarin chemosensors 5, 6, and 7 were successfully characterized by 1 H NMR, 31 P NMR, and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Additionally, the photophysical and metal sensing properties of the targeted compounds were determined by fluorescence spectroscopy in the presence of various metals (Li + , Na + , K + , Cs + , Mg 2+ , Ca 2+ , Ba 2+ , Cr 3+ , Mn 2+ , Fe 3+ , Co 2+ , Al 3+ , Hg + , Cu 2+ , Zn 2+ , Ag + , and Cd 2+ ) . The fluorescence titration results showed that compounds 5, 6, and 7 could be employed as fluorescent chemosensors for Fe 3+ ions with high sensitivity. The complex stoichiometry between final cyclotriphosphazene chemosensors and Fe 3+ ions was also determined by Job’s plots.  相似文献

We use molecular dynamics and simple thermodynamic arguments to model the interaction between catalyst nanoparticles and carbon nanotube caps, and we illustrate how the competition between cap strain energy and adhesion plays a role in the lifting of these caps from the catalyst surface prior to tube elongation. Given a particular cap structure, we show that there is a lower bound on the catalyst size from which the cap can lift. This lower bound depends on the cap's spontaneous curvature and bending rigidity, as well as the catalyst binding strength, and it explains the mismatch between single-walled carbon nanotube and catalyst diameters observed in prior experiments. These findings offer new insight into the nucleation of carbon nanotubes, and they may lead to the design of catalysts that can better control nanotube structure.  相似文献

We study a class of authentication codes with secrecy. We determine the maximum success probabilities of the impersonation and the substitution attacks on these codes and the level of secrecy. Therefore we give an answer to an open problem stated in Ding et al. (J Pure Appl Algebra 196:149–168, 2005). Our proofs use the number of rational places of a certain class of algebraic function fields. We determine this number by extending the corresponding results of E. Çakçak and F. Özbudak (Finite Fields Appl 14(1):209–220, 2008). Our authentication codes use a map which is not perfect nonlinear in certain subcases. We give an extended and unified approach so that the parameters of our authentication codes are good also when the corresponding map is not perfect nonlinear.  相似文献

Pyrrole functionalized polystyrene (PStPy) was copolymerized with pyrrole to obtain a conducting copolymer, P(PStPy‐co‐Py) which is used as the immobilization matrix. Glucose oxidase and polyphenol oxidase enzymes were immobilized via the entrapment method by electrochemical polymerization. Enzyme electrodes were prepared by electrolysis at a constant potential using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as the supporting electrolyte during the copolymerization of PStPy with pyrrole. Maximum reaction rates (Vmax) and enzyme affinities (Michaelis‐Menten constants, Km) were determined for the enzyme entrapped both in polypyrrole (PPy) and P(PStPy‐co‐Py) matrices. Optimizations of enzyme electrodes were done by examining the effects of temperature and pH on enzymes' activities along with the shelf life and operational stability investigations. Glucose oxidase enzyme electrodes were used for human serum analysis and glucose determination in two brands of orange juices. Polyphenol oxidase enzyme electrodes were used for the determination of phenolics in red wines of Turkey.  相似文献

The current study comprises synthesis of pyrimidylthioamide derivatized calix[4]arene (5), and its comparative liquid–liquid extraction properties with the compound 4 towards the selected transition metal ions (Cu2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Hg2+ and Cd2+) were investigated. Experimental results revealed that the compound 5 shows better efficiency and affinity for Pb2+ and Hg2+ ions as compared to compound 4. The antibacterial and antifungal effects of compound 5 were also investigated on various bacteria and fungi. It has been observed that compound 5 has some effects against Salmonella typhimurium NRRLB 4420, Bacillus cereus ATCC 11778, Staphylococcus aureus NRRL B767 and Bacillus subtilis NRS 744.  相似文献

The friction behavior of diamond-like carbon (DLC) is very sensitive to the test environment. For hydrogen-rich DLC tested in dry argon and hydrogen, there was always an induction period, so-called "run-in" period, during which the friction coefficient was high and gradually decreased before DLC showed an ultralow friction coefficient (less than 0.01) behavior. Regardless of friction coefficients and hydrogen contents, small amounts of wear were observed in dry argon, hydrogen, oxygen, and humid argon environments. Surprisingly, there were no wear or rubbing scar on DLC surfaces tested in n-pentanol vapor conditions, although the friction coefficient was relatively high among the five test environments. Ex situ X-ray photoelectron and near-edge X-ray absorption fine-structure spectroscopy analyses failed to reveal any differences in chemical composition attributable to the environment dependence of DLC friction and wear. The failure of getting chemical information of oxygenated surface species from the ex situ analysis was found to be due to facile oxidation of the DLC surface upon exposure to air. The removal or wear of this surface oxide layer is responsible for the run-in behavior of DLC. It was discovered that the alcohol vapor can also prevent the oxidized DLC surface from wear in humid air conditions.  相似文献

Grazing-incidence pumped Ni-like Sn X-ray laser media at 11.9 nm (4d-4p, J = 0-1) is modelled using code EHYBRID and a post-processor code. The required atomic data are obtained using the Cowan code. In this study the pre-formed plasma is pumped on longitudinal direction with a grazing angle. Detailed simulations were performed to optimize the driving laser configurations. Relatively high gain is produced for the Ni-like Sn X-ray laser at 11.9 nm with long pre-pulse and short main pulse drive energy of only 100 mJ on 4 mm slab targets. Using low intensity pre-pulse prior to long pulse decreases the electron density gradient. X-ray resonance lines between 13 and 25 Å emitted from tin plasma have been simulated using post-processor coupled with EHYBRID. The ratio of these resonance lines can be used to measure electron temperature of the laser produced Sn plasma.  相似文献

The present article considers the coil‐to‐globule transition behavior of atactic and syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylates), (PMMA) in their theta solvent, n‐butyl chloride (nBuCl). Changes in Rh in these polymers with temperature in dilute theta solutions were investigated by dynamic light scattering. The hydrodynamic size of atactic PMMA (a‐PMMA‐1) in nBuCl (Mw: 2.55 × 106 g/mol) decreases to 61% of that in the unperturbed state at 13.0°C. Atactic PMMA (a‐PMMA‐2) with higher molecular weight (Mw: 3.3 × 106 g/mol) shows higher contraction in the same theta solvent (αη = Rh(T)/Rh (θ) = 0.44) at a lower temperature, 7.25°C. Although syndiotactic PMMA (s‐PMMA) has lower molecular weight than that of atactic samples (Mw: 1.2 × 106), a comparable chain collapse was observed (αη = 0.63) at 9.0°C. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
